Based in London, Ontario, Canada, SillWill Studios made its debut on the comic scene in 1999 with the premiere of its first story, the B & W fantasy adventure The Sorcerer’s Children” The Weary Curse, an engaging story of four young companions caught up in the plans of an evil sorcerer. Inspired by Celtic myth, Alison wrote and provided the artwork for the book with A. Jaye handling the editorial and promotional side of the operation. The astounding and critical reception of their first venture led to the sequel: The Sorcerer’s Children: A Conspiracy of Shadows and The Sorcerer’s Children: A Spell For Tears.
Between A Conspiracy of Shadows and A Spell For Tears, Alison came up with idea for a rollicking space adventure starring Rocket, a cunning canine, and Jessica and Nathan Trouble, his human friends. This time A. Jaye took on the writing and in a departure from her artistic approach to The Sorcerer’s Children, Alison developed a totally different look for this new story. And so The Adventures of Astrodog was born!
